Launched in October 2015 by Gerald Veasley and his wife and business partner, Roxanne Veasley, the Unscripted Jazz Series has become a cornerstone of Philadelphia’s live music scene. Hosted at the intimate and vibrant SOUTH Jazz Club, the series has presented over 750 unforgettable nights of music, connecting audiences with some of the most dynamic artists in contemporary jazz.
The "Unscripted" format offers musicians the freedom to explore their broad musical influences and showcase their full range of talents. This spirit of versatility has drawn a roster of celebrated guest artists including Gerald Albright, David Benoit, Rick Braun, Randy Brecker, Alex Bugnon, Maysa, Raul Midón, Janis Siegel, Peter White, Kirk Whalum, Pablo Batista, Karen Briggs and many more.
